A recent survey conducted by the Philippines Government showed that once someone has been here scuba diving, they will return on average a further ten times. There are lots of reasons why people from all over the world come here for a scuba diving honeymoon, so let us try to point out a few of the reasons and show you some short movies about us, so you can judge for yourself. The cost. Yes, you will probably spend a little longer getting here than you might if you honeymooned more locally, but once you are here the cost of your vacation is likely to be a lot less than you might imagine. The average wage here for an unskilled worker is still under $1 US an hour. A good quality cotton T shirt will cost you less than $2. El Galleon is a 5 Star resort right at the beach with the Pacific lapping in front of us and yet a honeymoon room here still costs just $51 a night in 2010 Climate. The water here probably describes the overall climate better than anything. The sea temperature here is a constant 25C - 28C all year round, like a warm bath. Consequently we are popular with honeymoon couples all year round. |
Safety. Unlike much of Asia the Philippines is a mainly Christian country. There are actually more Roman Catholics here than in Italy. As a consequence you can sing, drink, dance and party here to your heart's content without offending anyone. The Verde Island Passage. This is an ocean current and it is this current that is responsible for 60% of the world's shallow water fish species being in the water off our beach. This current starts way out in the mid Pacific and brings water which is highly oxygenated and laden with nutrients and it is the combination of those two factors that make the scuba diving here so amazing. A scuba vacation here offers you all this. Asia Divers is a major feature of our resort. Whatever your level of skill we have the diving, facilities, training and courses for you. We are one of just two dive schools accredited by PADI to train PADI Instructors. Depending on your skill you can choose to dive here with Air, Nitrox, Trimix or even hire re-breathers or scooters. Literally within a ten minute boat ride from El Galleon you can dive small wrecks, do cave diving explore the Canyons or kick back and do a drift dive. Other things to do here besides dive. No matter how much you might love to scuba you inevitably are going to spend a lot more time out of the water than in it. There is a wide range of things you can do here and you can see just a few by clicking the picture on the right.
Also, if you stroll along the beach from El Galleon for just five minutes you get to the small town of Sabang. Here there are lots of restaurants catering for all tastes and nationalities. Bars with live music, bars without music. Discos where you can dance into the small hours. |
