The PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Specialty Diver course is a 1/2-day training course, which provides recreational divers with the knowledge required to safely plan and conduct recreational Enriched Air (Nitrox) dives. A must for any dive professional due to the popularity of this Specialty. It is also a prerequisite to complete the Enriched Air (Nitrox) Specialty Instructor.
Optional two enriched air open water boat dives, using an Enriched Air operational formula and tables, follow the academic topics and practical sessions. Use and ownership of an Enriched Air (Nitrox) capable computer is highly recommended.
This course also offers many alternatives for completing the dives in conjunction with other training dives due to the nature of the course. Two Practical Sessions and a Predive Simulation are required.
Example:
Dive 1 may be completed together with Dive number 4 from the PADI Open Water Diver course.
