The El Galleon honeymoon resort

The El Galleon honeymoon resort has greatly grown in popularity in the last few years and we believe the reasons are fairly simple.

Cost.

If we tell you this is a luxury 5 Star resort, but we charge 3 Star prices, you could be forgiven for thinking that a highly suspect statement. The truth is though, that the Philippines is much cheaper for almost everything than is paid in the Western world. For the cost of a cheap hotel room in the Western world you can wallow in luxury here. For example a MacDonalds hamburger in Manila costs 50 Cents (US). The average wage here for an unskilled workman is still under a $ an hour in 2010. Luxury rooms at our resort start from just $51 a night.

Romance.

The Philippines is made up of more than ten thousand different islands. If you want to walk along a deserted beach paddling in water where the temperature never falls below 25C there are many such beaches within a fifteen minute boat ride of our honeymoon resort.

Safety.

It is sad that one even has to think of such aspects as the safety of your honeymoon resort but you do. The Philippines is very largely a Christian nation. Indeed there are actually more Roman Catholics here in the Philippines than in Italy. We mention this because it means you can drink alcohol, dance and sing here without offending anyone.

Scuba diving here.

Asia Divers is a major part of the El Galleon resort. Here you can learn to dive or enjoy your diving in a wide variety of different dive sites within fifteen minutes of El Galleon.

We are in the middle of a protected marine reserve and can boast more species of fish than in the entire Red Sea as well as more varieties of corals than in the Great Barrier Reef.

Here you can scuba with a range of different gases from air to nitrox or trimix or hire a re-breather and dive in silence.

Non beach pass times.

There is a lot to do here besides scuba diving. You could pan for gold in the streams behind El Galleon or pursue any one of a number of popular pass times. Clicking the picture here will give you just a very few ideas.

Sabang Town.

Literally five minutes walk along the beach from El Galleon brings you to Sabang and here you can find the night lie that the Philippines is famous for. There are restaurants for all tastes, numerous bars both inside and out. So you can sit under the stars sipping cocktails with your loved one listening to one of the many live bands in Sabang. Or, you could decide to go dancing in one of the half dozen discos in town.
