In recent years the Philippines has become the honeymoon capital of all Asia. Let us try to show you why so many couples come here for their honeymoons.
Cost.
Almost all of us have a budget and your cash in the Philippines is likely to go a lot further than you might imagine. The average wage for an unskilled worker here in 2010 is still under $1 US an hour. For the cost of a cheap hotel in the West, you can wallow in luxury here. Indeed room prices at El Galleon in 2010 start at just $51 a night.
Climate. Unlike most countries here we have just two seasons. The Wet Season and the Dry season. What surprises Westerners about this is that even in the Wet Season the vast majority of the rain falls at night, which is why couples come here all year round.
Safety. Would that everywhere was safe, but regrettably in Asia that just isn't so. It surprises many people to learn that this is predominantly a Christian country. Indeed there are more Roman Catholics here than in Italy. If you want to drink and dance, party and enjoy yourself, come to El Galleon. |

Sun, sea and sands.
Because of the wonderful water here the marine life is second to none. At our resort you can see a larger variety of fish species than in the entire Red Sea and we literally have more varieties of coral than in the entire Great Barrier Reef.
Not surprisingly therefore the Government made the entire area a protected marine reserve. If you snorkel or dive you will be in heaven here.

Think of the Philippines and we all find ourselves thinking of beaches and warm seas. This is absolutely correct with regard to our resort.
It is a fact that there are more varieties of fish here than in the whole of the Red Sea and more varieties of coral than in the Great Barrier Reef. Not surprising maybe then that the Government has designated the entire area round our resort as a protected marine reserve.
Five minutes stroll along the beach from El Galleon brings you to the small town of Sabang, famed for it's night life. Here you can dance the night away at a number of discos, or eat in one of the many restaurants serving food for many nationalities. There are bars everywhere and you may care to just sit back listening to live music as you sip cocktails.
Whilst the most popular pass time here by far is snorkeling and scuba, there is a lot more to be enjoyed than just water based fun. Clicking the movie link on the right here will give you just a few ideas but there are many more, from panning for gold in the streams behind our beach resort to actual jungle trips.
