How to get to Puerto Galera and the El Galleon resort.

Three easy ways to get to Puerto Galera.

We are situated some 60 miles to the South of Manila, which is very well served by international airlines. From Manila there are buses and taxis that can drive you down to the port of Batangas where you take a small boat cruise for about 45 minutes to get to Puerto Galera and if we know you are coming we will meet you off the boat and bring you to our resort.

Some people prefer to stay over night and to take a bus down to Purto Galera from their hotel next morning. We will happily advise you on the hotels you might care to use that provide a bus service like this.

Getting to Puerto Galera with our help. The easy way is to let us know you are coming and your flight number and arrival time. We will then collect you from the airport in a private car to whisk you down to the public ferry boat, please check ferry times ahead as they do change regulary. Cost for such service being 3,500 Pesos which is approximately $77 US in 2010.

You may decide like most of our guests to take it one step further and book a private car and boat. This by fare the easiest and most comfortable way to come down, being able to staop when you like and knowing your boat is waiting for you. Time is approx., 3hrs (two hrs drive, one hour boat) from Manila to El Galleon pier. Cost US$155 one way.

Getting to Puerto Galera by taxi. You should be able to barter for a taxi to bring you and the cost then is likely to be about 3,000 Pesos or $66 US. Given the small difference between an unknown taxi and an El Galleon limo, guess which we would suggest for yourcomfort and safety.

On your return to Manila from Puerto Galera it is easy to time your departure to match air conditioned buses from the mainland into Manila.

Happy to help you.
