Scuba diving at our beach resort.
We have some of the most amazing skorkeling and diving in the whole of the philippines with water temperatures between 25C and 28C all year round. Puerto Galera, which is where we are located, is renowned the world over for it's quality scuba diving. We have courses run by our own Asia Divers where you can learn to scuba or extend your qualifications. We run courses covering the entire range of diving abilities from the 'Bubbles' course which introduces children over the age of eight to the sport, right up to Instructor training. Indeed we are the only beach resort in the Philippines to offer IDC Instructor training.
We also have a full range of dive types from simple open water diving where you can dive among a wider variety of corals than the Great Barrier Reef, to cave diving, drift diving and for the more adventurous wreck diving of Japanese WW11 wrecks.

Just a few minutes from our beach resort you will find Pondorosa, one of the strangest and challenging golf courses to be found anywhere let alone the Philippines.
The Club-House is on the top of a small mountain of some 2,500 feet and each hole is further down the mountain
Fortunately a small Landrover will take you from the base of the mountain to the Club-House where you can refresh with a beer or a bite before your game.
Caddies are provided together with a couple of people to carry your refreshments. Caddies being provided is not an unusual feature of any golf club, but how mant also send along one or two people who'se main function is to find lost balls? Pondorosa does, which is a very necessay function since the course you play is bounded by tropical forest.

The El Galleon beach resort is one of the most beautiful beach resorts in the Philippines.
Nestled among palm trees our hotel and restaurant provide quiet luxury, allowing you to relax and recharge your batteries.
There are a wide range of rooms available beginning with poolside rooms to various kinds of individual chalets, all at prices which I am sure you will agree are very reasonable.

All rooms have air conditioning, satellite TV and shower rooms in addition to the usual en-suite facilities.
Washing can be collected by your room maid and will be returned clean and ironed ready for wearing so there really is no need to bring 30 Kilos of luggage.

Things for children at our Philippines resort.
We are well aware that any family holiday can be made or marred by how happy children are at he resort.
There are a wide range of activities for children at our resort. If they swim the resortl pool awill allow them to splash about and run off energy. If they can snorkel, the Coarl Gardens which is nearby provides some of the most beautiful soft and hard corals in the Philippines and abounds with fish.
If your child is eight years old or more they may like to learn to scuba-dive and our Asia Divers school regularly run the 'Bubbles' course to help them get started with this exciting sport.
At low tide there are numerous small rockpools adjacent to the hotel to be explored.
Then there is Kyaking or simply fooling on the beach.
Fancy going out in the evening and having the children looked after? Simply ask at receptin giving a little notice and one of the hotel staff will sit with your children untill you return to the resort.

There are a wide range of cultural meals and snacks available from Australian Tucker to European, American and Philippino foods.
There are no sittings for meals. With our guests persuing so many different fun activities the idea of set mealtimes would simply not work.
Therefore our restaurant is open and running from early morning to very late evening and the menu is extensive.
One of our Chefs was 'imported' to our beach resort from California whilst our Second Chef is from the Philippines and he too has worked overseas in places like Switzerland. Thus we can cater for a wide range of tastes including vegetarian.
Unusually our kitchen is completely open allowing you to see your meals being prepared.
To compliment our various foods we have a wide range of beverages from frozen shakes to quality wines and champagnes.

Over twenty years ago the Philippines government realized Puerto galera, which is where our beach resort is, is unique.
It is a fact that there are a greater number of hard and soft corals here than Great Barrier Reef.
There have been over three thousand species of fish catalogued off Puerto Galera, more than the Red sea.
The Government reacted by making the whole area round our beach resort a protected fish reserve.
The Philippines Government also decided that they needed better access to the port of Batangas from Manila and built motorwaws.
There are regular ferries all day from Batangas to our beach resort.
