In the Philippines there are just two seasons. The Wet Season and Dry season. Like Camelot though even in the Wet season, the vast majority of the rainfall is at night another reason why people holiday in the Philippines all year round.
By Western standards just about everything is very cheap in the Philippines and the average wage for an unskilled worker in 2010 is still under $1 US an hour. Room rates at our 5 Star resort start at just $51 a night to live in the lap of luxury right at the beach.

When it comes to Philippine beach vacations the most popular passtimes are snorkeling and scuba diving. Here at the El Galleon beach resort is the home of Asia Divers. We are situated in the very middle of a protected fish and marine reserve created by the Philippine Government some twenty years ago. There is a greater variety of fish species here than in the entire Red Sea. The movie on the left will show you some of the marine life here as well as the amazing water clarity in water that never varies beyond the range 25C to 28C all year. Depending on your skill, here you can dive or learn to dive with a variety of gas mixes from air to nitrox or trimix or even use re-breathers you can hire here. |
No matter how much you may enjoy our Philippines beach resort, you will sometimes fancy getting away from the beach and perhaps doing something different. This third movie shows some of the pass times you might enjoy.
Five minutes stroll along the beach from El Galleon brings you to the town of Sabang where there are lots of shops selling just about anything you could want. At night though the town transforms into a kind of little Las Vegas with bars everywhere, live music, restaurants and even about half a dozen discos. |
