Skin Diver
Minimum Age 8 yrs old

Course prerequisites To qualify for training as a PADI Skin Diver, an individual must be 8 years of age or older.

Course Description
The PADI skin Diver course is designed to provide a simple training program for those interested in the underwater world, Students will make practical application of skills that are uniquely for skin diving. They will enjoy themselves while building confidence in their skin diving ability, developing judgment and gaining experience.

Course prerequisites
Participants must complete and sign the Bubblemaker Statement before entering the water. Parent or guardian signature is required for participants younger than legal age. If the participant checks any condition on the medical questionnaire portion of the form, the participant must receive medical approval prior to any in-water activities.

Course Description

A fantastic chance for kids to try closely supervised scuba diving and play games in shallow water (usual duration about one hour)

Course Description
  • Asia Divers offers the ideal location to ‘just give it a go’
  • If you are short of time and just want to try it, Discover Scuba Diving is for you
  • After a short briefing you’ll get comfortable with the gear and the basics of diving in the comfort and safety of our training pool under the watchful eye of an experienced Instructor
  • You’ll then enjoy a great dive at one of Puerto Galera’s unrivaled sites, your Instructor will never be far away as you’re introduced to a wonderful new world
  • You’re allowed to dive for up to one year after the initial experience (follow up dives), these dives are P2050 each
  • You can (at your Instructors discretion) credit the pool and open water dive towards either full certification or the PADI Scuba Diver certification. (The credit is worth one pool dive and one open water dive - at Asia Divers)
  • Take anyone of you’re underwater adventures home on video. Ask your instructor for details

 

Scuba Diver

Course prerequisites

1. PADI Scuba Divers must complete the 10-minute swim/ float demonstrating that they can comfortably maintain themselves in water too deep to stand up in prior to Open Water Dive

2. Student divers must also successfully complete the Dive Flexible Skills, Snorkel and Regulator Exchange, Tired Diver Tow and Cramp Removal.

3. Students must also read and sign the PADI Scuba Diver Statement prior to certification. All other standards apply.

  • Anyone who doesn’t have time or is not ready for full certification can earn the ‘Scuba Diver’ certification by completing part of the Open Water Diver Course.
  • This qualifies you to dive under the in-water supervision of a PADI Divemaster or Instructor within the limits you learn
  • If you’ve completed a PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience within the last year you may already be half way there!
  • There’s nowhere better to complete the three knowledge sessions & pool dives and two open water dives than at Asia Divers.

Open Water Diver

Course Description

There are two ways that individuals can become National Geographic Divers. At PADI National Geographic Dive Centers, people who do not already have a diver Certification may enroll in the National Geographic Diver program. This program covers all the knowledge and skills from the PADI Open Water Diver course plus the additional information and requirements for National Geographic Diver certification.

Complete the National Geographic Knowledge Review based on information gained from the National Geographic Diver Almanac and DVD.

During an open water dive, demonstrate the ability to hover in these three positions: horizontal, feet slightly elevated, and head slightly elevated.

During an open water dive, complete the Exploration Project that includes gathering information and/or images and creating a visual representation of the dive site detailing specific features. This may result in a sketch, diagram, graph, photo-essay, or video During an open water dive, complete one of the following: a. Navigate a square or rectangular pattern using both compass headings and natural references to return to the starting point.b. Locate and identify by name at least two aquatic plants (one for freshwater), four aquatic invertebrate animals (one for freshwater), and five aquatic vertebrate animals (two for freshwater).
